January 2020: “This date was the result of many months of anticipation, and in spite of both my high expectations and racing nerves, it exceeded any prediction I could have had prior to meeting Jessa. Conceptualising someone in person is hard work when you’ve not met before, let alone when you’ve admired that person from afar for many many months. Jessa walked into the restaurant and heads turned. She breezed over to the table I had reserved for us, and within that exact moment all of my nerves fell away. Her calm, soothing demeanour, her exquisite beauty all washed over me and I knew that the next 24 hours were going to fly by. And fly they did - travelling with somebody new is a real test of character, again - especially when you’re bonkers enough to have not met previously. And yet, almost as quickly as Jessa eased me into some fairly immediate and very comfortable authenticity, the time we spent together came to an end. I was emailing her assistant, Elizabeth, while Jessa was still on her flight home. An easy, seamless scheduling process underpinned an enthralling time together, and I cannot recommend a moment of your schedule with Jessa enough. My only complaint is that distance keeps us apart more often than I would like. Beyond that, any man should be counting himself lucky to have her on his arm.

From a virtual GFE date: “My only complaint is that it made me want to meet Jessa that much more. This was such a welcome respite from the monotony of Zoom meetings and even though separated by a screen, Jessa’s energy was palpable and lit up even my room, some 4000 miles away. Her images speak for themselves but her animated self is just that much more beautiful - so much so that I was actually late to my next online (and dreaded) work meeting. In unprescedentent times, it’s pretty extraordinary that technology has allowed us to meet. Now I just can’t wait for the real thing.”

From a virtual GFE date: “Engaging as ever, this has been the perfect way to keep in touch with someone so important to me while we are kept apart by forces of nature. A force all of her own, Jessa isn’t someone I regard as a woman I see at dinners and shows, only to be compartmentalised in-between trysts. Virtual dates have meant that we can ride out this crazy year together, keeping each other updated on our ever changing lives, and giving me a reason to spruce up for a date (the sweats have become rather tiresome unsurprisingly). So happy this has been a regular occurrence in lockdown.”
